HAL KETCHUM - I'M THE TROUBADOUR

Hal Ketchum’s Comeback Single ‘I’m The Troubadour’ seems to have him back on his path after—in his own words—“I just kind of lost my powder for a while. I just didn’t feel like playing or writing. ‘I’m The Troubadour’ is the first single (and the title track) from Ketchum’s first new album in six years.
“One day I just said, ‘This is a gift that God has given me, so I better get back to it.I started writing a handful of songs while living in a log cabin in Wimberley, TX. It just evolved from there,” Ketchum said. “I'm very happy. It's an amazing gift to be able to come back this strong. I feel like it's the best record I've ever made."

RAY SCOTT - SELF-TITLED

Called by some “Country’s Modern Day Storyteller”, Ray Scott’s Self-Titled album is a follow-up to his critically acclaimed Rayality.  Recorded in Nashville, the new eleven-track collection highlights Scott’s soulful knack for writing honest songs that deliver his messages with irresistible hooks and rich vocals. “Every song is like a separate vignette in both subject matter and production, but it also exists as a complete body of work,” Ray says. “It’s country music the way I interpret it. The album idea seems to be fading in today’s culture, but it's an important one to me in representing a period of time or a place in your consciousness."

sam hunt

SAM HUNT - MONTEVALLO

His EP didn’t satisfy a hunger as big as Sam Hunt’s desire to make a mark on country music so he’s releasing a full album called ‘Montevallo’ this month. The album title holds a special place in the 29-year-old’s heart. It’s the name of the small Alabama town Hunt lived in while attending the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Even then, Hunt’s life centered around one thing: football. That changed when he moved to Nashville in 2008 to write songs. “I didn’t know you could write songs for a living,” Hunt explained to BuzzFeed. Hunt has done well for himself as a writer, penning hits for both Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban. But the newcomer soon decided he wanted to be the one playing his own music.

Gretchen Wilson may be a redneck woman, but she has a heart of gold.

stoney la rue

STONEY LARUE - AVIATOR

Oklahoma City-based Stoney LaRue looking to fly with upcoming album ‘Aviator’ and plans to keep building on the mellower, more mature sound he wove into his 2011 studio effort, Velvet. “With ‘Velvet’ it was more of kind of like establishing a direction. You know, kind of setting down a post and saying ‘this is my path’ type of thing, and I think this is just an extension of that, just getting a little further down it. It has a lot of similarities,” the hard-touring musician said. “Songwriting is honing a craft. I think ultimately you want the next thing you do to be better – or at least different in a better way.”
