Tracy Lawrence was admitted to a Nashville hospital on Tuesday for a respiratory infection that doctors later diagnosed as the early stages of pneumonia.  The singer has cancelled his concert in Lufkin, Texas that was scheduled for tonight.  

Lawrence and his management team are discussing whether to cancel his shows this weekend in San Antonio and Norman, Oklahoma. A decision is expected by tomorrow morning.

Update: The website for the venue where Lawrence was scheduled to perform on Friday in San Antonio states that the concert has been cancelled due to his ailing health.

Lawrence has also cancelled his scheduled appearance at the Riverwind Casino in Norman, Oklahoma on Saturday.

 "The outpouring of well wishes from friends, family and fans has been overwhelming,” Lawrence said via press release. "I am taking the time to get healthy, and with your prayers and support, I’m confident that I’ll be back on the road to recovery in the coming days. Thanks to all of you!”
