I think everyone, in their life, meets that someone special that will always be there in some way, no matter what. In my life, his name was Mike and I met him in 7th grade. I thought he was just the cutest guy I'd ever met. Although we never dated throughout our years of knowing each other, I have always loved the man.
We grew in separate directions eventually; he got married and divorced, I got married as well. But, we always kept in touch. If we were having a bad day, we could always lean on one another. And here was the one person who never judged me.
Well, on December, 2006, Mike died. He was 45 years old and passed away in a home accident. When I found out, my whole world came to a standstill. Though it's been 4 years already, I miss my friend more today than I did the day I found out he was gone. I talk to him everyday and he still finds a way to make things feel like they're going to be okay.
Could you please play “I Miss My Friend” by Darryl Worley, because everyone should have someone like Mike in their life.
When my husband, Christopher and I got married, I had the pleasure of picking our wedding song. The song I chose was just coming out on the radio and wasn't released on cd yet, but thanks to a friend in the radio business, I had the song for our special day.
Christopher didn't know the song, but when I had him listen to it, he definitely didn't have any objections. Not only did we play it during the lighting of the unity candle, at our reception it was the song we danced to.
My husband works in New Mexico in the oil fields, so we don't get to see each other nearly as much as we would like. But when we do have time together, we truly get lost in the moment. It's like falling in love all over again, and it's wonderful. So, could you please play Big and Rich's “Lost in This Moment”? We'd really appreciate it.
