Bluegrass Pioneer Earl Scruggs Dies at 88


Earl Scruggs, a bluegrass legend known for his three-finger style of banjo playing, died yesterday. An integral part of Bill Monroe's early Blue Grass Boys and later half of Flatt & Scruggs, he has influenced virtually every banjo player to follow. He will be truly missed. Our hearts go out to his family and friends.
