Listener Request - August 10, 2013

Dear Bob,

In just a few short weeks I will be headed off to college. I know I still have a long way to go in life, but I’ve experienced so many great things and I am very thankful to be where I am today.
I couldn't have made it this far without the people I love including two wonderful parents and two brothers.

As I enter this next chapter in life, I know I’ll meet many new great people, but I also won’t forget all those I became so close with in school over the past 13 years, Who’ve helped me enjoy a great life so far! As a thank you, I would like you to play "Laughed Until We Cried" by Jason Aldean. This song brings back so many memories for me.

trishayearwood-xxxsandooosHi Bob!

Back in 8th grade, for gym class, the boys and girls had to learn how to dance the jitterbug. I was extremely shy and tried everything imaginable to get out of it, but my teacher still made me dance.
Of course I was nervous, but I grabbed my partner’s hand, he grabbed mine, and the teacher put on a song I never heard before. Well, as we started to dance, my partner did the last thing I would have imagined him to do… He began singing the song to me!

From that day on, I had such a crush on him, even though nothing became of it. But years later, in high school we started talking -- and I asked if he remembered that day, and he said yes. And in an instant, it all came back: the butterflies, the nerves, but most of all, my crush on him. Three years later, Brad and I just got married, have a year-old son, and we are happier than I ever dreamed of.
And to think, it all started with the song "XXX's and OOO's" by Trisha Yearwood. Of all the songs he might happen to know, it just happened to be that one we first danced to. And he still sings it to me, when it plays on the radio.

Thank you,
Bozeman, MT
